my first blog post, how exciting!! it’s nearly the end of september which means the summer holidays have just ended and my third year at uni has just begun.
super duper brief log of some of the things i got up to in summer:
- i went to parks, lots and lots!!

- i went to oxford and abingdon - river punting, countryside walks, sightseeing
- i made art
- i swam in the sea, lakes and pools
- i went on (and drove!) a canal boat
- i became obsessed with coding and the indie web
phew that was a mouthful. importantly, i did all of these things with my wonderful friends and girlfriend and had the best summer ever! you really don't realise how much you get up to until you list it, i’d recommend recounting your own summer.
a note on that last point, the reason why this web page exists and you're reading it right now, working on this site, learning coding basics, researching and discovering awesome corners of the internet that drive communities and creativity has been a real passion of mine this summer. especially lately, when i’ve been feeling like social media is particularly draining and an overall negative force in my life. so, to still exist in the digital world, which can be super awesome if you know where to look, i intend to build upon this site organically until it becomes an authentic expression of myself that i can share with everybody through the internet. if you check in here once in a while hopefully you’ll find that it’s grown :)
anyways, my third and final year of uni has just started aaaaa. i’m so happy to be back, my friends and i have neighboring desks in a big bright studio space which is so inspiring and makes me want to come into uni everyday, unlike previous years lol. i really want to make the most of it, who knows if i’ll ever have such a big dedicated space to be creative and collaborative in future. plus, this semester's projects are really exciting. the first one i’m working on is a book cover or animation representing this new science-based sci-fi book coming out next year. it’s eeeextra exciting because this could really lead to having my illustrations/animations used for promotion of the book when it comes out.
i’m also going to be making a zine for an upcoming book fair at the end of october, as well as taking part in 20-20 print exchange where artists from around the world exchange original prints! all thats to say is i’m feeling very busy busy, but in a great productive and inspiring way!
on that note, i should close out this post, as i am currently sat in the windowsill of the studios with my laptop, meaning to do some research/writing work but instead i’m writing this.
ok then, thanks for reading, see you next time!
